In Novomoskovsk, the first stone was laid for the construction of a sports and recreation complex near the Yubileiny Ice Palace
Today in Novomoskovsk a stone-laying ceremony was held to mark the construction of the sports and recreation complex. Its area will be 5,700 square meters.
The complex will be built on the territory of the Yubileiny ice palace next to the parking lot. The halls will be equipped with special equipment for the training of athletes: simulators for goalkeepers, throwing zones, strength training and others. Also, the building will be equipped with conditions for people with limited mobility.
The ceremony of laying the first stone was attended by Governor of the Tula Region Alexei Dyumin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Polyplast" Alexander Shamsutdinov and two-time Olympic champion, eight-time world champion, honored coach of Russia Boris Mikhailov.
The head of the Tula region noted that the complex will allow preparing future champions at a new level. “Today we are launching the construction of a multifunctional complex. This is another big step in the development of hockey in the region. The Boris Mikhailov Ice Hockey Academy is a brand that is known throughout Russia. The guys adequately represent the Tula region at the competitions and win prizes,” said Alexey Dyumin.
