  • Atlanta Braves acquire: RHP Dane Dunning
  • Texas Rangers acquire: RHP José Ruiz, Cash considerations

On July 17, the Atlanta Braves bolstered their pitching depth by acquiring right-handed pitcher Dane Dunning from the Texas Rangers. In exchange, the Rangers received right-handed pitcher José Ruiz and cash considerations. Dunning, 30, posted a 3.38 ERA over 10.2 innings this season with Texas. Ruiz, who has played for both the Braves and Phillies organizations in 2025, held an 8.82 ERA across 16.1 MLB innings.

July 16

  • Kansas City Royals acquire: IF Adam Frazier
  • Pittsburgh Pirates acquire: IF Cam Devanney

The Kansas City Royals reunited with infielder Adam Frazier on July 16, acquiring him from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for infielder Cam Devanney. Frazier returns to Kansas City, where he played in 2024. This season with the Pirates, the versatile utility player recorded a .654 OPS with three home runs and 21 RBIs in 78 games. Pittsburgh gained Devanney, a 28-year-old utility infielder who tallied 18 home runs and 55 RBIs in Triple-A during 2025.

July 10

  • Tampa Bay Rays acquire: RHP Bryan Baker
  • Baltimore Orioles acquire: Competitive Balance Round A Draft Pick

On July 10, the Tampa Bay Rays acquired right-handed pitcher Bryan Baker from the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles received a Competitive Balance Round A Draft Pick, which was subsequently used to select high school outfielder Slater de Brun as the 37th overall pick in the 2025 draft. Baker had been a vital bullpen contributor for Baltimore, striking out 50 batters and maintaining a 3.52 ERA over 38.1 innings.

June 15

  • San Francisco Giants acquire: 3B/DH Rafael Devers
  • Boston Red Sox acquire: LHP Kyle Harrison, RHP Jordan Hicks, RHP Jose Bello, OF James Tibbs III

In a significant mid-season trade on June 15, the San Francisco Giants acquired three-time All-Star third baseman/designated hitter Rafael Devers from the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox received a package including left-handed pitcher Kyle Harrison, right-handed pitcher Jordan Hicks, right-handed pitcher Jose Bello, and outfielder James Tibbs III. Despite a challenging season, the 28-year-old Devers remained productive at the plate for Boston, achieving a .905 OPS with 15 home runs in 73 games. The return for Boston included two established major-league pitchers and two promising prospects.
