53-летний Никитин, возглавивший ЦСКА в текущем сезоне, ранее в течение четырех лет руководил ярославским «Локомотивом». До этого он уже имел успешный опыт работы с ЦСКА с 2017 по 2021 год.

In the second game of the KHL playoff first-round series, CSKA Moscow secured a confident 4-2 home victory over SKA.

This significant win marked the milestone 500th KHL victory for Igor Nikitin, the head coach of the Moscow team. With this achievement, he has entered the league’s history books as only the second coach to reach such an impressive mark. The all-time record for coaching wins in the KHL belongs to Dmitry Kvartalnov, head coach of Dinamo Minsk, with 633 victories.

The 53-year-old Nikitin, who took charge of CSKA this season, previously coached Lokomotiv Yaroslavl for four years. Prior to that, he had a successful tenure with CSKA from 2017 to 2021.
