Current UFC Light Heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev alleges that former titleholder Alex Pereira has turned down the opportunity for an immediate rematch at UFC 317. The event is reportedly scheduled to take place on June 29th in Las Vegas.
Ankalaev conveyed this information via a post on X (formerly Twitter):
“I was offered to fight Alex during the International Fight Week, if that person doesn’t want to, let’s move on, I’m ready for anything,” Ankalaev wrote.
Magomed Ankalaev captured the light heavyweight championship from Alex Pereira in March of this year, winning the bout by unanimous decision.
