UFC heavyweight contender Jailton Almeida has publicly stated his readiness to transition to the light heavyweight division for a potential championship bout against the division`s champion, Magomed Ankalaev.
Almeida conveyed his challenge via social media platform X, writing: “Hey, champion! I accept your challenge. I am ready to drop to light heavyweight and fight you for the title. Alex has regularly fought on short notice, but he has become too big for this. Now he does not need it, and I agree. How about you? I promise not to take you down, we’ll settle everything standing up.”
Jailton Almeida`s most recent appearance in the octagon was in January, where he secured a victory by knocking out Sergey Spivak.
