Colorado Avalanche forward Logan O`Connor is anticipated to be sidelined for at least five months following hip surgery. The procedure took place on Friday.

The operation was performed in New York City by Dr. Bryan Kelly.

The 28-year-old O`Connor recently concluded a season where he recorded 10 goals and 11 assists over 80 regular-season games. In the playoffs, he scored twice during the team`s seven-game first-round series loss to Dallas.

This is not O`Connor`s first time dealing with hip issues; he also underwent hip surgery in March 2024. He signed a six-year contract extension with Colorado last September.

Before turning professional, O`Connor played three seasons for the University of Denver. He was part of the Pioneers team that won an NCAA championship title in the 2016-17 season.
