Amal and George Clooney Embrace European Summer in Coordinated White Outfits
George and Amal Clooney have mastered the art of the summer getaway. While they've been seen at glamorous dinners and events in historic villas with friends in Saint-Tropez and Capri, the Clooneys have largely spent their summer at their home on Lake Como. When not secluded at their Villa Oleandra residence, they have been hosting charity galas, balancing family time with glamour.
Earlier this month, the Clooneys attended a formal evening event at the historic 18th-century estate Villa Passalacqua, accompanied by friends. The couple coordinated their looks in white: Amal chose a silk white bias-cut slip dress, paired with silver sandals and a collection of gold and silver bangles. Upon arrival at the dock, she received a small bouquet of delicate flowers, lending a bridal touch to her appearance. Amal's signature glamour was evident in her hair, with her brunette, caramel-highlighted locks swept into a deep side part and styled in long, brushed-out waves.
George, in contrast, sported his typical summer attire: an off-white t-shirt with gray detailing on the neck and hem, white belted chinos, and soft gray-white loafers.
Amal, in particular, shines when dressing for Europe's glamorous summer evenings. Her style often features matching Pucci sets, vintage Versace, or archival bias-cut Galliano dresses. Chic oversized sunglasses are a frequent addition, evoking Sophia Loren's 'la dolce vita,' along with statement accessories or footwear, such as Cartier jewels or a structured clutch. Naturally, Amal's best accessory remains her dapper partner, George.
This marks the second time in the past month that the Clooneys have visited the opulent Villa Passalacqua. They previously hosted their Clooney Foundation for Justice fundraiser dinner there on August 10th. On that occasion, Amal wore a black Galliano fall 2004 slip dress adorned with florals, complemented by a red crochet bucket bag, while George opted for a gray suit and his familiar loafers. The Clooneys have long perfected the art of late summer style.
