Hockey clubs CSKA Moscow and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod have officially completed a player exchange agreement. As part of the deal, the Moscow-based club has acquired the sports rights to forward Nikolai Kovalenko, while the Nizhny Novgorod team has received the sports rights to forward Yegor Sokolov.
Nikolai Kovalenko, 25 years old, played 47 games for Torpedo during the 2023/24 season. In these games, he accumulated 39 points (11 goals and 28 assists) and finished with a plus/minus rating of “+6”. Kovalenko has also previously competed in the KHL for Ak Bars and Lokomotiv.
Yegor Sokolov, also aged 25, joined CSKA on July 2nd. Prior to this move, he had been playing in various North American professional leagues and has not yet appeared in a KHL match. During the 2023/24 season, while playing for the Tucson Roadrunners in the AHL, Sokolov participated in 75 games and recorded 44 points (22 goals and 22 assists).
