Deontay Wilder confirms that discussions are progressing regarding potential boxing and MMA clashes against Francis Ngannou.
The former heavyweight champion, `The Bronze Bomber`, is preparing for his anticipated return to the ring on June 25th, facing Tyrrell Herndon at the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
Wilder aims to make a strong statement in this fight, hoping to secure a knockout victory as devastating as his past win over Artur Szpilka.
Should the boxing veteran emerge from his next fight without significant injury, he expressed strong interest in a high-stakes confrontation with `The Predator`.

Deontay Wilder Open to Facing Francis Ngannou in MMA
Given their shared reputation for immense knockout power, a fight between Wilder and Ngannou promises to be a thrilling event. Fans would undoubtedly be on the edge of their seats, knowing that the fight could end abruptly with a single punch from either competitor.
Demonstrating his fearless attitude, `The Bronze Bomber` stated his willingness not only to face the PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion in a boxing ring but also expressed readiness to compete in Ngannou`s domain, potentially under MMA rules.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, Wilder commented, “I’d love to fight Ngannou. Things are moving forward; I believe that fight is still being discussed. We are definitely still talking about it.
He added, “We’re working on the structure of how the fight would happen. Some frameworks have been proposed, and I`ve shared my view about doing one boxing fight and one MMA fight. I`d be keen on that back-and-forth dynamic, offering him the chance to compete in my sport while I go into his – that seems fair.”
Wilder continued, “Currently, a lot is happening behind the scenes, but I`m confident this fight will eventually materialize. Many potential matchups are possible, and ultimately, it will come down to me deciding.
He concluded by saying, “I`ve returned with a strong mental approach. I`m finally free from injuries. For the past four years, I was constantly battling an injury, experiencing pain every time I used my arm, but I pushed through. I consider myself a warrior.”
Deontay Wilder Criticizes Jarrell Miller in Strong Comments
While a fight with Ngannou is highly anticipated and exciting, Wilder indicated there`s another opponent he`d particularly enjoy knocking out.
The former WBC heavyweight world champion has had a long-standing rivalry with fellow boxer Jarrell Miller.
The two fighters have exchanged words frequently over time, with Miller, known as `Big Baby`, seemingly attempting to provoke the veteran boxer.
In strong remarks, Wilder stated that his issue with Miller is personal and he`s ready to confront him directly.
