Forward Adam Klapka is set to remain with the Calgary Flames for an additional two seasons after signing a contract extension.
The Flames announced Tuesday that they have agreed to a two-year deal with the towering six-foot-eight forward, valued at a total of $2.5 million.
Klapka, 24, experienced his most successful professional season to date with the Flames last year. He participated in 31 games, recording six goals and adding 10 assists for a total of 16 points.
He proved particularly effective for Calgary during the final month of the season, as the team was competing for a wild-card playoff spot in the Western Conference. In April, Klapka averaged a career-high 12:43 of ice time and led the team in hits with 32.
Klapka originally joined the Flames organization as a free agent signing in May 2022.
