Flyers Agree to Five-Year Deal with Defenceman Cam York

Cam York will remain a member of the Philadelphia Flyers organization.

The restricted free agent defenseman and the team have reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension valued at $25.75 million, according to reports Monday.

York, who was the 14th overall selection in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has participated in 235 games for the Flyers. During this time, he has accumulated 77 points and has become a key component of the team`s top defensive unit.

A native of Anaheim, California, York represented the United States at the World Junior Championships on two occasions, earning a gold medal in the 2021 tournament.

He was sidelined for approximately one month at the start of the 2024-25 season after being placed on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury.
