UFC welterweight contender Ian Garry offered his thoughts on the recent fight between Jack Della Maddalena and Belal Muhammad.
At UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada, on May 11th, Della Maddalena secured a unanimous decision victory over Muhammad, claiming the welterweight championship.
“When I watched their fight live, they both seemed slow to me. Then I looked at the recording on TV, and the difference was huge. Jack looked precise and quick compared to Muhammad. But judging by my standards, there were many moments where he didn’t look that great in terms of technique.”
Garry added that despite his technical observations, Della Maddalena`s superior striking ability was evident and made defeat unlikely for him.
Belal Muhammad, Garry noted, has never been particularly known for his striking prowess.
