Goaltending Coach Malkov Could Join Hartley’s Staff at Lokomotiv

Sources indicate that goaltending coach Andrey Malkov may be added to Bob Hartley`s coaching staff at Lokomotiv.

Malkov has spent the last eight years working for Vityaz. During his playing career, he played several seasons for the Yaroslavl team as a goaltender. After retiring, he briefly remained involved within the Lokomotiv club system.

Lokomotiv announced the appointment of Bob Hartley as head coach on Saturday, July 5th. He replaces Igor Nikitin, who led the team for 4 years and won the Gagarin Cup in 2025 with the club. Rashit Davydov was the goaltending coach under Nikitin and left Lokomotiv along with him.
