Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak, a seasoned performer since childhood, was no stranger to the spotlight long before she became a figure in the fashion world. With a debut in ONE Championship at 16, 40 professional Muay Thai victories, and her own gym established, she found the transition to fashion photoshoots remarkably natural.
At 22, Jaroonsak masterfully navigates a dual career: the intense world of combat sports and the glamorous realm of modeling. High-fashion shoots, cutting-edge attire, and global modeling assignments have organically woven themselves into her identity, a path she embraced rather than actively pursued.
“I’m not fully committed to modeling yet,” Jaroonsak states, describing it as an occasional endeavor she takes on for variety. Her primary focus remains the management and growth of her new gym.
Unlike many novice models who grapple with self-consciousness or rigidity, Jaroonsak effortlessly adapted to the camera. Her extensive background in combat sports, involving numerous interviews, athletic photoshoots, and high-stakes performances before large audiences, had already prepared her. She affirmed, “Adjusting to the fashion world has been incredibly easy for me. I feel completely at ease, and it’s genuinely enjoyable. Having fought since childhood, I’m accustomed to interviews and sports photography, so nothing really fazes me.”
A notable highlight in her modeling career was the PUMA x ARIES collaboration in London. This particular shoot encompassed all the elements she values in a set: creative synergy, encouraging photographers, and the opportunity to engage in something distinct from her rigorous gym routine.
However, she notes that the physical toll of a long photoshoot day pales in comparison to the demands of a fight camp. “When it comes to stamina, modeling shoots are far less strenuous than fighting,” she explained. “A four-to-six-hour shoot feels like a breeze next to intense boxing training, which is significantly harder. Every experience is a chance to learn for me. Having dedicated my life to the boxing ring, I find joy in exploring new avenues; it truly enriches my life.”
This Friday, “Supergirl” is set to return to the ring at ONE Fight Night 41: Sinsamut vs. Jarvis, broadcast on Prime Video from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. She will compete in an atomweight Muay Thai bout against Yu Yau Pui from Hong Kong.
