Igor Larionov Replaces Roman Rotenberg as SKA Head Coach

Significant coaching change announced for the Saint Petersburg club.

SKA Hockey Club has announced that it has terminated the contract of head coach Roman Rotenberg. Rotenberg coached the team for 261 games during his time at the helm, achieving a record of 166 victories.

In the recently concluded 2023/2024 season, SKA finished in seventh place in the KHL`s Western Conference standings. Their playoff run ended in the first round, where they were defeated by Dynamo Moscow in a six-game series (2-4).

Following the decision regarding Rotenberg, the club has appointed Igor Larionov as the new head coach.
