At the KHL awards ceremony, the Sergei Gimayev Award “For Loyalty to Hockey,” presented to the best veteran mentor, was bestowed.
The recipient of this prestigious award is Avangard forward Ilya Kablukov. In the 2024/2025 season, Ilya reached the significant milestone of 1000 games played in the Kontinental Hockey League. Throughout his extensive KHL career, he has played for several teams, including Torpedo, Spartak, Atlant, SKA, Dynamo Moscow, and Avangard. With different clubs, Kablukov has won the Gagarin Cup three times (in 2015, 2017, and 2021) and earned a gold medal at the Olympic Games in 2018.
The award was presented to Ilya Kablukov by Sergey Gimayev (son of Sergey Nailievich Gimayev) and Igor Asabin (Advisor to the President of JSC “AVTOVAZ”). AVTOVAZ, a KHL partner company, gifted the player a Lada Niva Travel KHL car.
