Island Boys brothers hit back at claims they plan to 'rig' their boxing match on Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions

Island Boys member Flyysoulja has strongly refuted accusations that his upcoming boxing match against his brother, Kodiyakredd, scheduled for Friday night, will be fixed.

The hip-hop duo reportedly share no significant personal conflict and maintain that financial gain is not the motivation behind the fight. The lack of an apparent feud or financial incentive has led many to question the real reasons for the celebrity boxing event.

Kodiyakredd recently made his boxing debut last month. Now, just weeks later, he is set to fight his brother, who possesses limited prior combat experience.

Island Boys brothers hit back at fight rigging claims

Betting enthusiasts have noted the absence of odds for the Island Boys` bout, despite the event being supported by a betting company. This lack of betting options has contributed to some fans claiming the fight is rigged, an accusation Flyysoulja dismissed as unfounded. He challenged viewers during a pre-fight press conference, stating they shouldn`t watch if they believe the match is illegitimate.

Flyysoulja mentioned that promoter Adin Ross seemed hesitant due to comments suggesting the fight would be rigged, even considering not going through with it. He directly addressed those who believe it`s fake, daring them to “turn off the app [Kick] and uninstall it,” betting they wouldn`t follow through.

Island Boys’ reason for fighting seems to be unclear

The sibling match was a late change. Kodiyakredd was expected back after his previous loss, while Flyysoulja was initially scheduled to fight influencer Charleston White. Charleston White`s inability to pass medical examinations due to age and health issues resulted in the brothers agreeing to face each other instead.

Despite being opponents, the brothers showed no animosity, even shaking hands during their face-off.

Their insistence that the fight is not for money further raises questions about why the event is taking place. However, both brothers attract a large audience and have been given a prominent spot as a co-main event.

Jordan Galen, who works with Adin Ross` promotion, reportedly offered the fight to Flyysoulja after his original opponent withdrew. Flyysoulja confirmed he “had to think about it” before agreeing, mentioning he had already been training for over a month for his initial opponent and has continued preparing mentally and physically for the fight against his brother.
