Island Boys Sibling Boxing Match Ends with Announcement Error

Flyysoulja of the social media duo Island Boys secured a victory over his brother, Kodiyakredd, in their unconventional sibling boxing match held on Friday night.

This bizarre celebrity boxing event, streamed by Adin Ross as the co-main attraction on his latest Brand Risk Promotions card, capped off years of the group`s public controversies. Despite whispers of a staged fight, the brothers engaged over three rounds, each lasting two minutes.

They started the bout aggressively, with one brother hitting the canvas early, before both fighters visibly tired. The match concluded with a notable mix-up during the official announcement: confusion seemed to arise when Flyysoulja, fighting out of the red corner, was declared the winner, as the ring announcer mistakenly called the name of Kodiyakredd, who was in the blue corner.

Comical Mistake: Wrong Winner Announced

Any doubts that the Island Boys were simply showing up for a paycheck were quickly dismissed as they came out swinging. Flyysoulja, widely considered the more skilled boxer of the two, floored his brother Kodiyakredd within the first 20 seconds with a rapid series of punches, generating excitement from the audience.

However, this early knockdown was not officially scored. The brothers continued to grapple and exchange blows after getting back on their feet, with Flyysoulja generally landing cleaner shots.

As the fight progressed, both participants became exhausted and struggled to land effective punches. They were even taunted during commentary by Charleston White, their potential next opponent. Nevertheless, Flyysoulja showed slightly better form when engaged, occasionally throwing what resembled a straight punch.

The match went the full three rounds. When ring announcer David Van Auken stepped up to deliver the result, a split decision, it appeared that the blue corner designation for Kodiyakredd led him to incorrectly announce the losing fighter as the victor.

The referee swiftly corrected the error by raising the hand of the correct winner. Van Auken then awkwardly laughed and corrected his announcement. Following the bout, Kodiyakredd claimed his training had been hampered by pancreatitis.

This loss marks Kodiyakredd`s second defeat in celebrity boxing, putting his record at 0-2. His previous match ended in a knockout witnessed by UFC President Dana White, who reportedly won $10,000 betting against him on that occasion.

Flyysoulja Expected to Face Charleston White Next

Immediately after the final bell and the awkward announcement moment, influencer Charleston White entered the ring. Known for his humorous style, White began to mock both brothers and instigated a challenge with Flyysoulja. A fight between White and Flyysoulja had been originally planned for Friday night but did not materialize.

White, who is nearing 55, faced difficulties obtaining medical clearance in Florida, which prevented the initial fight from happening there. However, Adin Ross plans to take the Brand Risk promotions on the road for the first time next month, heading to Nashville, Tennessee, where they anticipate the state`s sanctioning will be more flexible.

A face-off between White and Flyysoulja in the ring involved back-and-forth exchanges, strongly suggesting their bout is now likely set for next month. The upcoming event card is shaping up to be busy, with Ross also expressing interest in arranging a fight between Adam Saleh and Deen The Great.
