Jose Aldo has reiterated his decision to retire from mixed martial arts.
The former two-time featherweight champion hinted at his retirement from fighting during UFC 315.
Last weekend at UFC 315, Jose Aldo lost a decision to Aiemann Zahabi, a teammate of Georges St-Pierre.
After the fight, `Scarface` placed his gloves on the canvas, symbolizing his retirement, and then tearfully indicated during an in-Octagon interview that he was likely finished with MMA.

Jose Aldo Offers Retirement Clarification
Since Aldo wasn`t completely clear in his initial comments, some fans hoped he might compete again.
However, he ended speculation about a comeback during a press conference held at the Nova Uniao training center on Saturday.
“No, I don’t see myself fighting,” Aldo said.
“When I went back [to the UFC in 2024], it wasn’t for money, it was for a purpose, I had, a calling.
“I tried doing it and it didn’t work. I gave my all and was happy with everything I’ve achieved.
“There’s no fight that would make me come back. To put the gi, to spar, or do anything, only in five years.
“Thank God, I’ll be almost 50 in five years, so there’s no possibility of fighting, there’s no calling.”
Jose Aldo`s Future Plans Involve Helping Teammates
Following his final fight, notable figures including former two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya paid tribute to Jose Aldo.
Max Holloway and Conor McGregor, both former opponents, also offered kind words.
However, Aldo intends to step away completely from fighting and competition for the foreseeable future.
He added:
“I have another purpose in life, another path. Offer me any fight, wherever it is, I don’t want to.
“I don’t see myself fighting anymore, or training, or doing anything like that. Of course, I do see myself training here to help my friends. I know how hard that is, so if I can help in any way with the experience I have, I will help with all my heart.
“But to specifically put a gi or anything like that to fight, never again.”
