Josh Fremd Reflects on PFL Victory, UFC Departure, and BKFC Future

An Interview with Josh Fremd

Mixed martial artist Josh Fremd (12-6) recently shared insights following his spectacular third-round TKO victory over Jarrah Hussein Al-Silawi (21-7) at PFL Pittsburgh on March 28th. Fremd also discussed his recent release from the UFC and his plans for the immediate future, which include fighting for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) in a few weeks, all while keeping his long-term MMA goals with PFL in sight.

Fremd elaborated on his swift return to action: “I’m cleared; I think it’s just a seven-day period for these stitches to heal up. I had a prior agreement, and the PFL is allowing me to honor it. Before the PFL opportunity arose, I had already signed with BKFC. While PFL remains my ultimate goal, and MMA is definitely a priority, I also have a background as a Golden Gloves boxer. I want to challenge myself in bare-knuckle boxing. I’m also excited to have my teammate, Chris Camozzi, on the same card, which will be an honor.”
