Roman Starchenko`s 18th KHL Season
Barys forward Roman Starchenko made his anticipated return to the team lineup, facing off against Sibir. This appearance marked a monumental occasion, as Starchenko became only the sixth player in KHL history to participate in all 18 championships. The 39-year-old veteran has an impressive record of 863 games played in the League (800 in the regular season and 63 in the playoffs), accumulating a total of 423 points (215 goals, 208 assists). He now shares this exclusive 18-season club with fellow KHL stalwarts: Dmitry Vishnevsky, Grigory Panin, Vadim Shipachyov, Andrei Stas, and Pyotr Khokhryakov.
Andrei Razin`s 300th Coaching Victory
Metallurg secured a commanding 6:2 away victory over Spartak, a win that carried special significance for head coach Andrei Razin. This triumph marked his 300th career victory as a KHL head coach. Razin began his coaching journey in the KHL during the 2015/2016 season, having successfully led various teams including Avtomobilist, Yugra, Admiral, Severstal, and now Metallurg. Throughout his career, Razin has commanded from the bench for a total of 573 KHL matches. For comparison, the current leader in coaching victories is Dmitry Kvartalnov, with an impressive 599 wins.
Vladimir Tkachev Reaches 400 KHL Points
The same thrilling match between Spartak and Metallurg saw another major milestone, this time from Magnitogorsk forward Vladimir Tkachev. On his birthday, Tkachev delivered a crucial assist, which elevated his career KHL points total to a remarkable 400 (120 goals, 280 assists). Tkachev has played 482 KHL games, representing several prominent clubs including Metallurg, Avangard, SKA, Salavat Yulaev, and Admiral.
Denis Yan Achieves 100 KHL Points
Salavat Yulaev clinched a 3:1 home victory against Sochi, highlighted by Wyatt Kalynuk`s game-winning power-play goal in the 43rd minute. Among the players assisting on that goal was Denis Yan, whose contribution marked his 100th career KHL point (55 goals, 45 assists). Yan embarked on his KHL career in the 2022/2023 season and has since played 213 matches for both Torpedo and Salavat Yulaev.
Vladislav Provolnev Celebrates 500 KHL Games
The intense 3:2 contest between CSKA and Severstal was a landmark event for CSKA defenseman Vladislav Provolnev, as it marked his 500th career KHL game. The 30-year-old Provolnev debuted in the KHL during the 2015/2016 season with Spartak and later played for Severstal. He joined CSKA in 2021, where he has since won two Gagarin Cups with the “Red Army” club. In his KHL career, Vladislav has recorded a total of 113 points (37 goals, 76 assists).
