KHL Highlights: A Week of Spectacular Goals and Incredible Saves

We present the top moments from the past game week of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Top 10 Goals

The weekly compilation of the best goals kicks off with Artyom Galimov`s («Ak Bars») goal, assisted by Kirill Semyonov, in a game against «Barys». In ninth place is Mikhail Fyodorov`s goal («Metallurg») after a brilliant pass from Evgeny Kuznetsov, while eighth features a superb «Barys» team play culminating in Semyon Simonov`s goal. Seventh place goes to Ilya Talaluyev («Amur»), who skillfully navigated the opponent`s crease. Sixth is awarded to Xavier Ouellet («Dynamo» Minsk) – the defenseman deftly evaded an opponent at the blue line and sent the puck precisely into the top corner.

Fifth place is claimed by Cedric Paquette («Dynamo» Moscow), who bypassed a defenseman and beat the goalie with a backhand shot. In fourth place is the magnificent teamwork of Spartak`s duo, Egor Filin and Lucas Lockhart – just look at Filin`s astonishing pass! Third place is awarded to Alexander Radulov`s goal («Lokomotiv») in a match against SKA. Second goes to Valery Orekhov («Metallurg»). The best goal of the week was an exquisite solo effort by Andrey Belozyorov («Neftekhimik»), who, after a brilliant individual rush, sent the puck into the net off a deflection.

Top 10 Saves

The top ten saves open with Pavel Khomchenko («Sochi»). Also featured are Evgeny Alikin («Avtomobilist»), Andrey Shutov («Barys»), and Vladimir Galkin («Avtomobilist»), who delivered an outstanding performance in two recent matches against «Avangard». Notably, the list also includes a representative from the Omsk club – Nikita Serebryakov, who, in a game against «Metallurg», brilliantly stopped Nikita Mikhailis on a breakaway with the score at 0-0.

In fifth place is Semyon Vyazovoy («Salavat Yulaev»), who successfully fended off multiple shots from the crease. Fourth place belongs to Zach Fucale`s save («Dynamo» Minsk) in the Canadian`s game against his former team. Philipp Dolganov («Neftekhimik») masterfully prevented a sure goal from Alexander Galchenyuk. Denis Kostin («Torpedo») bailed out his team by stopping a shot into an open corner. And the best save of the week was a heroic effort by Andrey Shutov («Barys»), who, while lying on the ice, incredibly knocked away a shot headed for the crossbar!
