Following a thorough analysis of statistical data and expert evaluation, the Continental Hockey League (KHL) Commission responsible for identifying top performers has announced the award recipients for the third game week of the Fonbet KHL Championship 2025/2026. Awards were presented across four key categories to highlight outstanding individual contributions.
During the past week, a total of 27 matches were contested throughout the championship. These games saw the participation of 495 hockey players, including 32 goaltenders, 163 defensemen, and 300 forwards. The average scoring rate for these contests stood at 5.25 goals per game, reflecting an exciting week of hockey action.
Week 3 Award Winners:
- Best Goaltender: Daniil Isaev (Lokomotiv). For the fourth time in his career, Isaev has been recognized as the league`s top goaltender for the week. He secured three victories in three starts, maintaining an impressive save percentage of 96.51% against 86 shots faced and a stellar goals-against average (GAA) of 1.00. Isaev`s exceptional performance included a shutout victory against HC Sochi (5:0).
- Best Defenseman: Semyon Chistyakov (Avangard). Chistyakov earned his third career best defenseman award by tallying an impressive 5 points (3 goals + 2 assists) in three games, complemented by a strong plus/minus rating of “+2”. Notably, Chistyakov netted the game-winning goals in crucial matches against SKA (4:2) and Salavat Yulaev (5:2). His all-around play also included three hits, three blocked shots, two takeaways, and one interception.
- Best Forward: Vitaly Pinchuk (Dynamo Minsk). Pinchuk claimed his first career best forward award, accumulating 4 points (all goals) in three games during the week. In the intense match against Torpedo (3:2), Pinchuk delivered a hat-trick, including the decisive game-winning goal. His contributions also featured one blocked shot and one takeaway, showcasing his impact beyond scoring.
- Best Rookie: Mikhail Fedorov (Metallurg). For the second time in his burgeoning career, Fedorov was named the best rookie. He contributed 2 points (1 goal + 1 assist) in two games, achieving a plus/minus rating of “+2”. Furthermore, Fedorov registered one blocked shot, one takeaway, and one interception, demonstrating his promising defensive and offensive abilities.
To be eligible for the Best Rookie award, players must have been born in 2004 or later and have participated in a combined total of no more than 20 KHL games in previous seasons.
