KHL Star Strike 2025 Day One: Comebacks and Fierce Duels

The KHL Star Strike 2025 tournament began on July 19th, bringing together KHL hockey players, prominent streamers, and professional esports athletes to compete in Counter-Strike 2.

Quarterfinal Action

Saturday saw the quarterfinal matches unfold. In the opening game, Team Kapu v Kragu secured a decisive 2-0 victory over Ostrye Konki. Dosia was named the standout player, while Vitaly Pinchuk and Nikita Setdikov shone brightest among the hockey players.

Kapu v Kragu will face Full Buy in the semifinals, after Full Buy defeated Iceshot 2-1, staging a comeback after losing the first map. In the second quarterfinal, Deko and Dimaoneshot were key performers, alongside hockey players Ivan Morozov and Nikita Artamonov.

Dramatic Comeback in the Losers` Match

The day concluded with a thrilling match between the teams that lost their initial games. For Ostrye Konki, CSKA player Prokhor Poltapov was replaced by his teammate Yegor Kuzminov, who delivered a strong performance from the second map onwards.

Iceshot held a significant lead after the first map, but Ostrye Konki mounted an impressive comeback from a 6:10 deficit on the second map, eventually winning in overtime maps. Fander and Igor Ozhiganov were the team`s top players in this dramatic victory.

Upcoming Matches

Sunday`s play begins at 12:00 PM with the match between the quarterfinal winners. The loser of that game will then battle Ostrye Konki for a spot in the final.
