The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has unveiled its symbolic teams for September, honoring both established stars and promising newcomers following the thrilling first month of the 2025/2026 season. These selections highlight the outstanding individual performances across the league.
The Stars Team
The Stars Team showcases players who delivered exceptional performances throughout September. The lineup features:
- Goaltender: Daniil Isaev (Lokomotiv)
- Defensemen: Robert Nardella (Torpedo) – Grigory Dronov (Traktor)
- Forwards: Alexander Radulov (Lokomotiv) – Vitaly Pinchuk (Dynamo Mn) – Dmitry Silantyev (Metallurg)
As per tradition, three spots in the monthly team were claimed by the top players in their respective positions: Isaev, Dronov, and Silantyev. Joining Dronov on defense is Torpedo`s newcomer Robert Nardella, who impressed with eight assists in ten games and finished the month with an impressive plus-9 rating.
The offensive trio alongside Silantyev includes veteran forward Alexander Radulov. The 39-year-old dynamo collected 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists) in ten matches and made history as only the third player in KHL history to record a hat-trick at his age. After winning the championship with Lokomotiv, he appears to be experiencing a remarkable resurgence in form. The center position in the line is held by Vitaly Pinchuk of Dynamo Minsk, who also registered a hat-trick and accumulated 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) in September.
The Rookies Team
The Rookies Team for September celebrates the league`s brightest young talents who made a significant impact in their debut month:
- Goaltender: Vladimir Selivanov (Dynamo Msk)
- Defensemen: Alexander Siryatsky (Metallurg) – Ivan Patrikhayev (CSKA)
- Forwards: Mikhail Fyodorov (Metallurg) – Stepan Gorbunov (Traktor) – Matvey Polyakov (SKA)
Vladimir Selivanov from Dynamo Moscow was the sole rookie goaltender to be recognized in September. He made his KHL debut at just 17 years and 50 days old, making him the youngest goaltender ever to play in the league. In his brief 17 minutes on ice, he managed to stop 11 shots.
On defense, Alexander Siryatsky of Metallurg (one goal in eight games) and CSKA`s Ivan Patrikhayev (two assists in ten games) formed the rookie defensive pair. The forward line is comprised of the month`s best rookie, Mikhail Fyodorov from Metallurg, Matvey Polyakov of SKA (three points in nine games), and center Stepan Gorbunov from Traktor (one goal in seven games).
