Lada Tolyatti Announces Signing of Canadian William Dufour

Hockey club Lada Tolyatti has officially signed 23-year-old Canadian forward William Dufour, the team announced through its press service. Reports about the potential move for the 23-year-old player to the Russian team had surfaced previously.

The club noted that Dufour has signed a one-way contract that is valid for one season.

Most recently, Dufour played in the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2023-24 season. He was traded from the New York Islanders organization to the Colorado Avalanche organization. In 57 AHL games last season, he recorded 22 points, scoring 9 goals and adding 13 assists.

The forward also possesses international experience representing Canada at the youth level. In 2022, he was a member of the Canadian U20 national team that won the World Junior Championship.
