Connor McDavid has joined an elite group in NHL playoff history.
By scoring his first goal of the Stanley Cup Final during the third period of Game 5 on Saturday, the Edmonton Oilers` star player became the third quickest to reach the 150-point mark in his playoff career.
McDavid achieved this feat in just 95 games, trailing only legendary players Wayne Gretzky (who did it in 68 games) and Mario Lemieux (who took 86 games).
The impressive goal briefly sparked the Oilers, narrowing the Florida Panthers` lead to 3-1.
However, only 46 seconds later, Sam Reinhart scored to reinstate the Panthers` three-goal advantage.
McDavid currently leads all players in this post-season with a total of 33 points, comprising seven goals and 26 assists, accumulated over 21 games.
