Connor Brown`s availability for Wednesday`s Stanley Cup Final opener is in question.

Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch announced Tuesday that winger Connor Brown will be a game-time decision for Game 1.

Previously, both Knoblauch and Brown had indicated the veteran forward was expected to be ready to play.

The 31-year-old left Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against the Stars after being injured on a hit by Dallas defenceman Alexander Petrovic.

This injury followed prior issues, as Brown was also a game-time decision for Game 1 of that series and missed the morning skate before Game 2.

Brown recorded 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) over 82 regular-season games and has contributed eight points (five goals, three assists) in the playoffs so far.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final is scheduled for Wednesday, with puck drop set for 8 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. MT.
