The Florida Panthers expect forwards Eetu Luostarinen and Anton Lundell to be available for the commencement of the Stanley Cup Final.
Coach Maurice informed reporters that despite Luostarinen and Lundell not participating in Saturday`s practice, he anticipates both players will be ready.
Maurice noted that the only remaining uncertainty regarding player availability is forward A.J. Greer, whose status is still day-to-day due to an unspecific injury.
Luostarinen exited Thursday`s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, a 5-3 victory that clinched the series, partway through. The 26-year-old forward was injured when he collided with the boards after a missed hit on Carolina`s Taylor Hall and did not return.
Luostarinen has accumulated 13 points, consisting of four goals and nine assists, over 17 playoff appearances.
The reason for Lundell`s absence from practice was not specified. He has recorded 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 17 post-season contests.
Greer did not play in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final on Monday but was back in the lineup for the series-deciding game on Thursday. He has three points (two goals, one assist) in 12 playoff games.
The Florida Panthers are set to face the Edmonton Oilers in the upcoming Stanley Cup Final.
