UFC lightweight prospect Paddy Pimblett shared his thoughts on why he believes Islam Makhachev might have been hesitant to accept a fight against Ilia Topuria.
Pimblett commented: “In Islam`s shoes, I would have taken the fight with Topuria, I would have beaten him, and then faced Della Maddalena in October in Abu Dhabi. However, I understand why Makhachev didn`t take the fight with Ilia – Islam has already defeated featherweights twice. Many people think Topuria would beat him, but I don`t agree.”
