Regian Eersel Clinches ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title Against Rungrawee

April 10, 2026 – Bangkok, Thailand: ONE Championship presented an electrifying event at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium with its latest offering, The Inner Circle.

In the highly anticipated main event, Regian Eersel, the reigning lightweight Muay Thai titleholder, secured the vacant ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship by defeating Thailand’s Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong. Eersel’s victory came via a unanimous decision, a testament to his masterful five-round performance that solidified his status as a top-tier fighter.

Known as “The Immortal,” Eersel effectively used his reach to keep Rungrawee at bay, launching a barrage of long-range combinations throughout the first round. His signature jumping knees consistently pushed the Thai challenger backward in the initial two rounds, allowing the Amsterdam-based fighter to establish a significant advantage on the judges’ scorecards.

The momentum swung decisively in Eersel’s favor during the third round when a powerful combination sent Rungrawee to the canvas for a knockdown. Despite showing remarkable resilience to recover, Rungrawee faced relentless pressure from Eersel in the fourth round.

In the final round, Rungrawee attempted to dictate the pace, but his urgency led to errors, including a point deduction for an illegal elbow. This infringement fueled Eersel’s aggression, and he unleashed a fierce offensive in the closing moments, unequivocally cementing his superiority.

All three judges unanimously scored the bout in favor of Eersel, crowning him the undisputed lightweight division champion and a two-sport ONE World Champion once again.
