Donovan Sebrango, an Ottawa native, will continue his career with his hometown team, as the Ottawa Senators officially announced on Thursday that they have re-signed the defenceman to a one-year, two-way contract.
The 23-year-old Sebrango made his National Hockey League debut last season, playing in two games for the Senators.
In addition to his brief NHL stint, he also played 50 games for the AHL`s Belleville Senators during the same season, contributing eight goals and 12 assists from the defensive position.
Sebrango was originally drafted 63rd overall in the third round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings. He joined the Senators organization in July 2023 as part of the trade that saw forward Alex DeBrincat move to Detroit.
