Senators re-sign Nick Cousins to one-year deal

The Ottawa Senators have brought forward Nick Cousins back for another season.

The team announced Tuesday that Cousins signed a one-year contract valued at $825,000.

The 31-year-old forward played for the Senators in the 2024-25 season after joining as a free agent the previous off-season. In 50 games, he registered six goals and 15 points.

Before joining Ottawa, Cousins had stints with several other NHL teams, including the Florida Panthers, where he was part of their 2024 Stanley Cup-winning roster, the Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, Arizona Coyotes, and Philadelphia Flyers.

Originally from Belleville, Ontario, Cousins was drafted 68th overall by the Flyers in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
