The San Jose Sharks have chosen center Michael Misa with the second overall selection in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Misa demonstrated exceptional skill in the OHL while playing for the Saginaw Spirit. He impressively notched 62 goals and accumulated 134 points over 65 games, which secured him the league`s scoring championship and MVP honors.
His tally of 62 goals is currently tied for the third-highest single-season goal total recorded by a player in their draft-eligible year within OHL history.
After being granted exceptional player status allowing him to join the OHL a year early, Misa was the first overall pick by the Spirit in the 2022 draft. He was also a key member of the Saginaw Spirit team that claimed the Memorial Cup championship in the season prior.
