In Brossard, Quebec, during the final moments of Martin St. Louis`s opening press conference for the Canadiens` training camp, the coach felt compelled to state that his communications to the media are precisely what he conveys to his players. This remark, delivered immediately after he provided a detailed explanation (a discourse undoubtedly shared with his team earlier that Wednesday), unintentionally elicited amusement from the audience.
St. Louis wasn`t aiming for laughs, but his candid and direct communication style is consistently appreciated by those in attendance. The substance of St. Louis`s message also carried significant weight. While it was broadly applicable to every athlete participating in the Canadiens` camp, it was widely perceived as holding particular relevance for one specific player.
