Brodie, aged 35, signed a two-year agreement valued at $7.5 million with the Blackhawks during the free agency period last off-season.
Based on information from PuckPedia, the projected salary cap impact from a buyout of Brodie`s contract would be $3.23 million for the 2025-26 season, followed by a reduced charge of $258,000 in the 2026-27 season.
In the previous season, he participated in 54 games, recording two goals and a total of 10 points. He averaged 15 minutes and 37 seconds of ice time per game during this period.
