Ilia Topuria, the former UFC Featherweight Champion who has recently moved up to the lightweight division, has expressed that he would not offer Islam Makhachev an immediate fight for the title if Makhachev were to decide to return to the lightweight weight class.
Topuria clarified his position, stating:
“Who did what they promised? As soon as I have the belt, he can stand in line. It’s long, and many eyes are burning.”
