UFC 327: Finalized Fight Card Features Thrilling Championship Doubleheader

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to deliver one of its most anticipated events of the year at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. UFC 327 will feature an action-packed card, highlighted by two electrifying championship bouts.

The main event of UFC 327 will showcase an enthralling clash for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, as former titleholder and #2 contender Jiří Procházka takes on #3 ranked Carlos Ulberg. The co-main event is equally compelling, with UFC Flyweight Champion Joshua Van defending his title for the first time against the #3 ranked Tatsuro Taira.

UFC 327: PROCHÁZKA vs ULBERG is scheduled for Saturday, April 11th, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The preliminary fights are set to begin at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET, leading into the main card at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET.

Jiří Procházka (32-5-1), representing Brno, Czech Republic, is geared up for his return to the Octagon, aiming to recapture the light heavyweight championship. Known for his captivating, aggressive fighting style, Procházka has an impressive record with significant victories over top-tier opponents such as Jamahal Hill, Dominick Reyes, and Khalil Rountree Jr. He now seeks to add Carlos Ulberg to his list of triumphs and once again claim UFC gold.

Carlos Ulberg (14-1), fighting out of Auckland, New Zealand, is poised to achieve the most significant victory of his career by securing the UFC light heavyweight title. Since joining the UFC, the New Zealander has ascended into the Top 5, fueled by an impressive nine-fight winning streak. His notable wins include Dominick Reyes, Alonzo Menifield, and former champion Jan Błachowicz. Ulberg is now determined to make history with a decisive win against Procházka.

Joshua Van (16-2), hailing from Houston, Texas, prepares for his inaugural title defense. Having clinched the UFC flyweight title just two years into his professional MMA career, Van swiftly climbed the 125-pound ranks with emphatic victories over opponents like Brandon Royval, Bruno Silva, and Cody Durden. He aims to firmly establish his championship reign by delivering a dominant performance against Taira.

Tatsuro Taira (18-1), representing Okinawa, Japan, travels to Miami (“the 305”) in pursuit of his first world championship. At just 26 years old, this promising contender boasts an almost flawless record, featuring finishes against prominent fighters such as former UFC champion Brandon Moreno, Hyun Sung Park, and Alex Perez. Taira is now focused on Van, aspiring to create history as the first Japanese-born UFC champion of the modern era.
