Renato Moicano Slams Brian Ortega's UFC 331 Pullout, Calls it 'Easiest Fight'
Renato Moicano voiced his displeasure following Brian Ortega's recent withdrawal from UFC 331. The fight was canceled just days before the event in Los Angeles due to an injury sustained by Ortega.
Ortega has since commented on his decision, but his return timeline remains unclear. Moicano, who was removed from the UFC 331 card, has been rescheduled to headline a UFC Fight Night next month against Tom Nolan.
Despite securing a new fight, Moicano did not hold back in his criticism of Ortega's repeated last-minute fight cancellations.
Moicano Criticizes Ortega's Latest Withdrawal
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Moicano shared his reaction to the fight falling through.
"This is something I didn’t expect at all," Moicano stated regarding Ortega's withdrawal. "Simply put, the easiest fight in the division just slipped through my fingers, and I’m already pissed, already angry, but there’s nothing I can do. One thing I’ve been asked is ‘Moicano aren’t you afraid the fight will fall through again?’, I said, ‘There is no way Ortega is going to chicken out again; there’s absolutely no way this fight isn’t happening at UFC 331’."
"He hasn’t fought in over two years and this is the second fight he’s withdrawn from with only a week’s notice," Moicano added. "What that son of a b— doesn’t know is that you need to make weight; you spend money on training, I spent hours without making any content on YouTube, nowadays I’m a YouTuber." Moicano's last fight was a submission victory over Chris Duncan in April.
