Forward Damir Zhafyarov has signed a one-year contract with Neftekhimik. Last season, Zhafyarov played for Barys, where he recorded 1 goal and 4 assists in 27 games. Over his extensive KHL career, he has appeared in 669 matches for Metallurg Novokuznetsk, CSKA, Sibir, Admiral, Torpedo, SKA, Ak Bars, and Avangard, tallying a total of 134 goals and 203 assists.
Avangard and Admiral announced a trade. Avangard sent defenseman Pavel Koledov and financial compensation to Admiral in exchange for the rights to forward Egor Stepanov.
