The MMA community is buzzing following UFC President Dana White’s official announcement of Conor McGregor’s long-awaited return to the octagon. The Irish superstar is set to headline UFC 329 on July 11th, during International Fight Week, in a rematch against Max Holloway.
As predicted by Ariel Helwani, McGregor vs. Holloway 2 will be a five-round welterweight bout, marking “The Notorious'” debut in the 170-pound division.
Following the announcement, reactions flooded in from across the mixed martial arts world. McGregor’s friend and training partner, Dillon Danis, expressed his excitement, posting on X: “The return of the motherfu*king Mac. Let’s fucking go, my brother!”
Former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley jubilantly declared, “The MAC IS BACK BABY !!!”

Jake Paul expressed his disdain, calling McGregor “The Coke head is back” and criticizing the timing of the announcement, stating, “Drop it during our event, doesn’t matter. That just shows how pressed they are, little insecure boys piggybacking off our event.”
In response to the widespread commentary, Ariel Helwani tweeted, “I’ll wait for everyone’s apology.”
Conor McGregor himself addressed the ongoing discourse by retweeting Jake Paul’s comment with a defiant message: “I’m gonna son you, child. Again.”
