Daniel Dubois Achieves Stunning Comeback Victory, Reclaims WBO Heavyweight Title from Fabio Wardley

Daniel Dubois orchestrated an extraordinary comeback to reclaim the WBO heavyweight championship, triumphing over Fabio Wardley in a bout widely regarded as a Fight of the Year contender.

The fight almost took a disastrous turn for Dubois in the opening seconds when Wardley landed a powerful right hand, sending Dubois to the canvas. Although Dubois appeared to recover, he was knocked down again in the third round by an overhand right from Wardley.

Despite being knocked down twice within the first three rounds, Dubois demonstrated incredible resilience and was far from defeated. He delivered a strong performance in the fourth round and gradually took control of the fight from that point onwards. Dubois began to back Wardley into a corner, seeking the decisive blow in the latter half of the match. This moment arrived in the 11th round when ‘Dynamite’ unleashed a formidable right hand, causing Wardley to falter and turn away from his opponent.

The referee deemed the situation conclusive and stepped in to halt the contest in the penultimate round.
