The legendary martial artist and actor Carlos Ray Norris, better known as Chuck Norris, has passed away at the age of 86. His family confirmed this sorrowful news today via social media.
Earlier reports indicated that Norris had been hospitalized in Hawaii, on the island of Kauai, due to a sudden medical emergency. Although the exact nature of the emergency remained undisclosed, he was reportedly "in good spirits" at the time. However, his family later issued a statement announcing his passing.
"It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace. To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family."

Chuck Norris's Cause of Death Remains Unknown
The cause of Chuck Norris's death has not yet been disclosed by his family. The official statement described his passing as "sudden." However, many netizens have speculated that a heart attack might have been the cause.
Just a week prior, after celebrating his birthday, Chuck Norris posted a sparring video on social media, in which he appeared healthy and full of vigor. In the same clip, he humorously remarked, "I don't age. I level up."
Norris, a master of many disciplines, held black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, and Taekwondo, among others. He also founded his own discipline, Chun Kuk Do, now known as the Chuck Norris System.
His cinematic breakthrough occurred in 1972 when his friend Bruce Lee invited him to play one of the main villains in the film The Way of the Dragon. After this film, he became widely known and, in subsequent years, starred in numerous movies and TV shows such as Agent Recon, The Expendables 2, Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection, The Octagon, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
Chuck Norris is survived by his wife, Gena O'Kelley, and five children.
