PFL San Diego Results: A.J. McKee Outpoints Salamat Isbulaev

The PFL San Diego event, presented by GOVX, concluded at the Pechanga Arena with a night of intense mixed martial arts action.

In a highly anticipated featherweight clash, the #2 ranked A.J. “Mercenary” McKee (25-2) demonstrated his elite skills by defeating the previously undefeated #4 Salamat Isbulaev (10-1) via unanimous decision. McKee controlled the fight for all three rounds, securing takedowns and nearly achieving a submission in the final moments, ultimately earning a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards with 30-27 marks.

Veteran fighter #2 Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche (26-8) proved her enduring capability by defeating #8 Viviane “Vivi” Araujo (14-8) by submission in the second round. After a competitive first round, Carmouche successfully countered a takedown attempt by Araujo in the second, locking in a tight guillotine choke that forced the Brazilian contender to tap out. As a San Diego native, Carmouche will be closely watching the upcoming PFL New York event on July 31.

In a significant lightweight bout impacting the PFL rankings, #4 Alexander “Peresvet” Shabliy (25-4) made a successful return after a two-year hiatus. Shabliy defeated England’s #2 Alfie “The Axe Man” Davis (20-7-1) by unanimous decision. Shabliy dictated the pace of the fight throughout the three rounds, securing a 30-27 score from all judges for his first victory since 2023.

The main card opened with former PFL Tournament World Champion Robert “Razor” Wilkinson (20-5) returning to the win column against England’s Abraham “The One and Only” Bably (8-3).
