The UFC has released the initial images of the Freedom 250 fight kits, created specifically for the upcoming event at the White House. These patriotic-themed kits will be available to fans just a few weeks before the June 14th card, which is scheduled to take place on the South Lawn of the White House. The merchandise can be purchased online starting now.
Special Edition UFC Freedom 250 Gear for White House Card Revealed
The concept for a UFC event at the White House was initially proposed by President Donald Trump in July of the previous year during a rally in Iowa. His vision was to host a comprehensive UFC card, with an estimated 20,000 to 25,000 spectators on the White House grounds, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. UFC CEO Dana White subsequently confirmed the event after discussions with the Trump administration. Notably, the date also coincides with President Trump’s 80th birthday.
The fight kits were designed by Venum, incorporating a classic red, white, and blue color scheme. Prominently featured on the gear is a White House logo, along with an exclusive “USA 250” patch. This special patch is a collaboration between Fanatics, the White House, and the America 250 initiative. Fans can purchase these limited-edition kits through ufcstore.com, venum.com, and fanatics.com. Additionally, for those in Washington D.C., the merchandise will be available at the Lincoln Memorial press conference on June 12th, at The Ellipse Park on June 13th and 14th, and at a pop-up store located at 1099 14th St NW from June 11th to June 14th.
The main event will feature Ilia Topuria defending his lightweight title against interim champion Justin Gaethje. In the co-main event, Alex Pereira will face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship. The undercard includes several exciting matchups: Sean O’Malley competing against Aiemann Zahabi in a bantamweight bout, Mauricio Ruffy taking on Michael Chandler at lightweight, Bo Nickal facing Kyle Daukaus in the middleweight division, and Diego Lopes challenging Steve Garcia in a featherweight contest.
In total, the event will showcase 14 fighters, as confirmed during the initial press conference. The winners will receive a custom championship belt designed with an American flag motif and the Roman numerals “1776.”
