Conor McGregor Launches MAC ENERGY, Differentiating His Drink with Patented BHB Formula

Conor McGregor has ventured into a new business endeavor, introducing his latest product to the market. McGregor is recognized as one of the few athletes who has achieved substantial financial success both in and out of the sports arena. With an estimated net worth of around $220 million, “The Notorious” has built his wealth through a combination of his UFC earnings and a portfolio of successful companies.

The former two-division UFC champion has openly discussed his enjoyment of alcoholic beverages, and his ventures in this sector have proven to be highly profitable. Notably, his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey, launched in 2018, saw him sell a majority stake for approximately $600 million in April 2021, resulting in a significant financial gain. Additionally, McGregor holds a substantial interest in his beer brand, Forged Irish Stout.

Driven by his ongoing passion for beverages, Conor McGregor announced his entry into the energy drink market on Tuesday. He unveiled his new product, “MAC ENERGY,” at the Beverage Forum 2026 in California. McGregor provided a sneak peek on social media, sharing a video featuring boxing star Ryan Garcia holding several cans of “MAC ENERGY,” showcasing what appear to be various flavors.

Conor McGregor Explains How “MAC ENERGY” Stands Out from Competitors

Conor McGregor took to X (formerly Twitter) to elaborate on what distinguishes his new energy drink brand, “MAC ENERGY,” from other prominent players in the energy drink industry. McGregor asserts that his drink features a novel, patented formula that includes BHB, a ketone known for its role in energy production. He claims this gives his product a unique advantage that rivals cannot replicate.

“Hey folks, I have founded my latest venture,” McGregor posted. “My creation for the $90bn per annum energy drinks category. However, it is unlike any other. It is the ONLY energy drink with 5 grams of the ketone ‘BHB’ inside. The ‘energy’ ketone (Google BHB). I also have this ketone patented. Meaning, while all the sleeping giants in the category have just been caught off guard by the MAC, they can do nothing about it! MAC ENERGY IS HERE! Enjoy, Beverage Forum, California! That’s how it’s done!”

Conor McGregor has been on the sidelines for nearly five years, with his last fight occurring in July 2021 when he sustained a broken leg during his trilogy match against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Momentum is currently building for a potential comeback, with reports suggesting a rematch against former opponent Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as part of the 2026 International Fight Week.
