Giving him another shot, especially since Justin and Trevor Wittman seemingly have his number, means he's not just going to forget what happened in their previous fight.

His mind will still carry the psychological effects, a form of PTSD, that will inhibit his ability to perform at his peak. There will be a natural restraint, a hesitation, a voice saying, 'Whoa, wait a minute.' He won't be the same Ilia Topuria who faced Justin Gaethje after being so thoroughly beaten.
